Welcome to Simply Good Food where passion for food and creativity collide! I’m  glad you have landed here. 

You can call me a foodie because I love good food and good food loves me! seriously! I get enthusiastic when I think about food. My love for cooking was ignited at an early age, watching my mother and other relatives make delicious meals from scratch. This exposure sparked a lifelong interest in culinary discovery. I have mostly taught myself how to cook through practice and reading countless cookbooks and magazines and trying out most of the recipes that I read. In the process, I have learnt to develop new recipes that I gladly seek to share with you in this blog. But I have also attended short baking and pastry courses just to perfect my skills in this area. 

Cooking isn’t fun for some people, I know but eating good food is. This blog is about sharing with you my joy and passion for cooking and creating simple and healthy dishes that are delightful. Most of the recipes shared are not only healthy but also tasty and simple to make. An effort has been made to include vegetarian recipes for you who is a vegetarian. For my fellow Kenyans, an attempt to recreate some of the recipes that our parents used to enjoy when they were young and a collection of Kenyan food recipes is made.
