This is one of my go to beverage for a morning energy boost. This smoothie is made using mangoes, bananas and yogurt or milk as the main ingredients. But you can add a twist to the recipe by adding pumpkin seeds and orange or pineapple juice instead of milk. This will make the smoothie more thicker and deliciously satisfying.

To make this delicious mango banana smoothie with pumpkin seeds for a serving of 2 people, you will require the following:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  • Juice of 4 fresh oranges or 2 cups fresh pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds, I prefer grinding the seeds before blending into the smoothie.
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add the diced mango, sliced banana, pumpkin seeds and and honey to a blender. If you want it cold, add some ice cubes into the mix.
  2. Add the orange juice
  3. Blend the ingredients until smooth.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add some juice or to the blender and blend again.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve.
