Banana chocolate chips bread is made with ripe bananas, wheat flour, and antioxidant-rich chocolate chips making it a great way of using up ripe bananas that would otherwise go to waste.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter.
In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are smooth.

In a mixing bowl, mix together mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until well mixed then set aside.
In another bowl, sift the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda then mix using a spatula.
Mix the egg mixture with the flour mixture in two additions
Alternate with the milk in 2 additions and mix well until well mixed making sure that you do not over mix.
Add the chocolate chips to the batter and stir to distribute them evenly.
Step 3
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean
Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice and serve with tea/coffee, as a snack or dessert.

Tips for making Banana chocolate chips bread
Use ripe bananas because the riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your bread will be. Make sure you also mash them thoroughly.
If you love a little crunch in your bread, try adding chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the batter.
Use mini chocolate chips instead of the chopped chocolate. This ensures that every bite of bread has plenty of chocolate in it.
Don't overmix your batter as this can result in tough, dry bread.
If you want your bread to stay a while, store it in an airtight container at room temperature. This will store for up to three days. You can also freeze it for up to three months.
