No-knead bread is a great recipe for anyone who wants to enjoy the taste and smell of freshly baked bread. So, grab your ingredients, set aside some time, and give it a try! You will be surprised how easy it is to make a delicious loaf of bread at home. This is my go to recipe whenever the craving strike!
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add in the warm water or milk and mix until a rough dough forms. The dough should wet and rough.
Add raisins (if using)
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a cloth and set aside in a warm place.
Let the dough rise at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours. A longer it takes to proof the dough the better. The dough should rise to at least double its size.
Step two:
Once it has risen, remove the cover, punch it down.
Grease loaf tin and line with a parchment paper at the bottom.
Pour the dough into a greased baking tin. Put the tin in a warm place uncovered for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Step three: Bake
Preheat your oven to 450°F.
Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Carefully remove the bread from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
